The Father willed to give us birth by the word of truth
that we may be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

And he said to them, “Go then!”
They came out and entered the swine,
and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea
where they drowned.
The swineherds ran away,
and when they came to the town they reported everything,
including what had happened to the demoniacs.
Thereupon the whole town came out to meet Jesus,
and when they saw him they begged him to leave their district. ~ Mt 8:28-34
In Today’s reading we see if we are steeped in God’s word, and draw close to God we become the first fruits for others.. as in we bring them others the fruits of God and the fruits of the Holy Spirit. We then see Jesus cast out demons into the pigs… so that the people may be holy, more perfect.. and more influenced by the angels.
Challenge: How has your day been going so far? How have you opened up your life to other people today to bring them the goodness of God and to be the firstfruits? Work on that today.
