Daniel Moody ~ CounterTenor ~ Singing Handel's Messiah with Musica Sacra
Daniel Moody - CounterTenor
Singing Handel's Messiah with Musica Sacra
This week, I was able to attend the performance of Daniel Moody - CounterTenor ~ singing Handel's Messiah with Musica Sacra.
It was a delight to not only experience all of Carnegie Hall stand in silence for the length of the Halleluiah Chorus, but also a delight to hear the myriad of octaves of voices raise in tone and tune to express Handel's composition. The whole experience was absolutely breath-taking. The emotions within the music, as well as the personification of the beings in Handel's Messiah were amazing.
It was also a pleasure to catch up with friend and pianist David Fung, who has just returned to the States from playing in Televiv. Hearing about his experiences abroad and his love for music was both refreshing and renewing. It was also a pleasure to meet Daniel's agent, and to get to know more of what it is like for an agent to watch and see the artists perform.
Both Daniel and David have been wonderful friends supporting my love for the arts, as well as dreams in relation. I am very thankful for both of them, their own love for the music, and their own devotion. It was also an honor and priviledge to be able to say yes to the invitation to attend this wonderful event, especially with Musica Sacra.
Thank you for the invitation ~ it was a delight and the performance really warmed my heart to fully move me into the Christmas Spirit.
Here are some of the photos I took on behalf of Daniel Moody ~
Pictured is the end of the performance ~ accolades ~ as well as the meet and greet.
Thank you again for the invitation, it was a pleasure to attend ~ and thank you for all of your encouragement and the joy your bring to the arts.
Merry Christmas!
